Does the grower use neonicotinoids (or neonics)? 

The native plants that we sell come from North Creek Nursery via Izel Nursery. 

A note from North Creek Nursery: “We are neonic free. We utilize natural and biological control agents to prevent disease and to keep our greenhouses pest free and safe for pollinators in our landscape.”

When can I pick up the items I pre-ordered on this site?

Pickup will be available at Phipps Garden Center in Mellon Park on Sat., May 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Mon., May 5 from noon to 6 p.m. We will have your order prepared based on your last name. Be prepared to provide the name in which the order was placed. NOTE: We cannot guarantee the quality of plants picked up after May 5 and will not hold plants after May 9. Plant orders that are not picked up by May 9 will be donated to a local non-profit garden planting project.

What should I bring with me when I arrive to pick up my pre-ordered items?

You may want to bring a reusable bag. Or a small box if you ordered more than two plant strips. We will have your order prepared based on your last name. Be sure to provide the name in which the order was placed.  

I am unavailable to pick-up plants on May 3 and May 5. Can I order plants and pick them up at a later date?

No. We are unable to make arrangements for any other pick-up dates or times other than those provided. If you are unable to pick-up your order, please make arrangements for someone else to do so during these pre-determined times. We cannot guarantee the quality of plants picked up after May 5 and will not hold plants after May 9. Plant orders that are not picked up by May 9 will be donated to a local non-profit garden planting project. 

Can I have items on this website shipped to me?

No. The items for sale on this website are only available for pickup at Phipps Garden Center in Mellon Park.

Can I pick up my plants from Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens?

No. Purchases made on this site can only be picked up at Phipps Garden Center in Mellon Park.

Is parking available at Phipps Garden Center?

Yes. Patrons are welcome to park in the metered lot next to Phipps Garden Center in Mellon Park, located at 1059 Shady Avenue.

When is the last chance to order items on this website?

We will stop taking orders on Sun., March 23.
