Plant Description

The clusters of small white flowers sit atop 2 to 3 foot tall stems. The foliage is uniquely delicate, intricate and fernlike. The flowers bloom in early to mid-summer and lasts about a month or more. It is not particular about soil, but prefers them on the lean and dry side. Achillea millefolium is a drought-tolerant species that prefers being grown in full sun. This perennial species has a rhizomatous root system, and may spread enthusiastically in areas where it has little competition.
