Plant Description
This slow spreading beebalm is a gorgeous addition to your pollinator garden as it acts as a butterfly host plant and provides both pollen and nectar to bees, butterflies and hummingbirds! Habituated to a large variety of soil conditions, you need not worry about this plant during extended droughts! A close relative to culinary mint, the leaves of wild bergamot smell wonderfully and can be used in teas. It prefers full sun to part shade and is deer tolerant. The cultivar 'Claire Grace' is said to be more resistant to powdery mildew than other varieties.
