These deep plugs are typically the preferred size for plants that are shallow-rooted. The additional width of these plugs allows for horizontal growth of the roots, which benefits many species of ferns and sedges.
Each individual plug measures 2 ¼” x 2 ¼” across by 4” deep.
These plugs are landscape-ready, but also offer a head start should you be interested in potting them up.
Package Description
Our shady oasis plants all do well in wooded areas, under deciduous tree cover. Blooming in spring before tree have put on their leaves American columbine, Virginia bluebells and heartleaf foamflower bring color and interest to shady spots. A true spring ephemeral, the bluebells will disappear after blooming, making way for surrounding plants to have their show. Ostrich ferns will bring beautiful textured green to the shady spaces in your yard. These plants will get large in optimal conditions.
